India extended their outstanding run in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 with a resounding 29-run win over the USA in Match 3 at Mumbai’s historic Wankhede Stadium. In front of an energetic audience and in comfortable conditions, India demonstrated their depth in both batting and bowling.
Batting first, India scored a competitive 161/9 in 20 overs, owing to an amazing innings by Suryakumar Yadav. The Indian captain played a brilliant and aggressive game, hitting 84 runs off 49 balls, combining elegant strokes with characteristic creativity to keep the scoreboard ticking despite frequent wickets at the other end.
