Tata Punch EV Facelift Revealed — Updated Exterior Unveiled Ahead of 20 Feb Launch
Tata Motors has officially unveiled the facelifted version of the Punch EV SUV, providing a closer look at the new external appearance soon before its scheduled India launch on February 20, 2026.
Bold New Front Design
The Punch EV facelift’s most visible modification is its new front fascia, which provides a more modern and aggressive appearance. The updated front end includes a revamped bumper and a new headlamp configuration, which departs from the previous integrated LED DRL setup. This design upgrade provides the compact electric SUV a more unique appearance on the road, mirroring Tata’s expanding design language across its EV portfolio.

Unlike the pre-facelift model, the new Punch EV’s front end no longer features a continuous LED light bar. Instead, it uses separate headlight clusters and a closed-off grille region, which increases both visual appeal and aerodynamic efficiency.
Side Profile and Exterior Details
The Punch EV’s side profile stays essentially unchanged, with a compact stance and elevated SUV proportions. The SUV is slated to include revised alloy wheel designs similar to those found on Tata’s other electric vehicles, providing a sporty touch to the entire appearance.

According to reports, Tata Motors may introduce new body colour options, including vibrant shades like yellow and copper, in order to entice younger buyers and widen the model’s appeal.
Rear and Interior Expectations
While Tata has not fully revealed the rear look of the facelifted Punch EV, experts believe it will include a linked LED taillight configuration, similar to the style elements of the recently updated ICE Punch version.

Inside the cabin, the SUV is expected to retain much of the Punch EV’s modern interior design. Tata has yet to confirm the final specifications, but expect a huge touchscreen infotainment system, digital instrument cluster, wireless charging, and smart connectivity capabilities.
Powertrain and Range Likely to Stay the Same
Mechanically, the Punch EV makeover is expected to retain its current battery and motor configuration. The SUV should continue to be available with two battery pack options: a 25kWh unit and a larger 35kWh unit, with claimed driving ranges ranging from 265 to 365 km on a single charge.
