While the upper hills are gearing up for a chilly, wet spell, the plains of Himachal are still sizzling with temperatures crossing 44°C.

Day-by-Day Weather Forecast (Till June 2)

According to weather officials, the unstable weather dynamic will continue until June 2. Here is what to expect:.

  • May 28 & 29 (Orange Alert): Heavy rain and light snowfall are expected in the higher reaches.
  • May 30 (Yellow Alert): The intensity of the rain will decrease, but cautionary alerts remain.
  • May 31 onwards: The weather will begin to clear up, especially in the lower hills and plain areas.

Warning for May 29: Expect widespread light to moderate rainfall across the state, accompanied by hailstorms, lightning, and gusty winds blowing at a speed of 40 to 50 km/h.

  • Sizzling Plains: Una (44.0°C), Neri (40.7°C), Sundernagar (39.3°C), Bilaspur/Berthin (39.0°C).
  • Moderate Hills: Kangra (38.8°C), Mandi (38.6°C), Dharamshala (35.0°C), Jubbarhatti (33.2°C).
  • Chilly Tourist Spots: Shimla (29.0°C), Kalpa (25.4°C), Kufri (24.1°C), Keylong (20.9°C).
